America’s Krewe, the Krewe of Europa, will make its debut appearance in the Ocean Beach Holiday Parade in San Diego, California, on December 5, 2026. Members representing 22 states will travel to Southern California for the holiday spectacle, bringing with them a colorful celebration inspired by the theme “Christmas Around the World.”
Known as “America’s Krewe,” the Krewe of Europa is a Tampa, Florida-based international parade and cultural organization inspired by the spirit of the Age of Discovery. The organization was created to build bridges between cities and continents through parades, cultural exchange, friendship, and philanthropy.
For the Ocean Beach Holiday Parade, the Krewe will showcase its distinctive holiday costuming, incorporating the traditions and festive spirit of Christmas from around the world. Members will interact with spectators along the parade route and distribute special gifts to children and parade-goers, creating a memorable experience for the community.
The Krewe’s appearance represents more than another parade stop. It is an opportunity to bring a little bit of Tampa, Gasparilla, and international carnival culture to the California coast, while celebrating the unique character and traditions of Ocean Beach.
The Ocean Beach Holiday Parade is a quirky and beloved annual seaside tradition in San Diego. Held along Newport Avenue, the parade features community floats, marching bands, classic cars, holiday characters, and festive groups that capture the neighborhood’s distinctive, laid-back coastal personality. The Krewe of Europa’s participation will mark the organization’s first appearance in the December 5th parade.

The organization participates in more than 11 parades annually across multiple countries and has brought its members and international spirit to events including the Gasparilla Pirate Fest in Tampa, the Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and festivals and parades in Bulgaria, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and other destinations.
